I’m speaking at Future Decoded in London November 1st

I’m excited to be able to announce that I’m going to be speaking at Future Decoded alongside Martin Kearne and Gary Pretty.

We’re going to be talking about Microsoft Cognitive Services and showcasing how they’re being used in the real world to add huge value and change lives.

If you think that this is a departure from my normal subjects of Skype for Business & Microsoft Teams development, then you’d sort of be right…but I’d say you also haven’t been keeping a close eye on where things are going! In what I’m claiming is an inspired and visionary move, I started working with Cognitive Services about a year ago and quickly realised how much it’s going to change how we do business, including in the areas I care most about, such as communication and collaboration.

Hearing Lori Wright announce at Ignite a few weeks ago that Microsoft is also making this transition from Unified Communications to Intelligent Communications told me I’d made the right choice. Over the coming weeks and months, I think you’ll see more and more “intelligent” going into our communication tools and being utilised by developers. Keeping on top of what those tools are and how to use them is, therefore, an important part of being a developer today, and I’m thrilled to be able to get the chance to talk about some of those tools alongside Martin and Gary.

Future Decoded is free to attend, but you must register to attend. I hope to see you there.
