New Developer Platform support for Microsoft Teams meetings announced at Inspire 2020

At Microsoft Inspire 2020, Microsoft announced an addition to the Microsoft Developer Platform – the ability for applications to interact with the meeting experience in Microsoft Teams.

Technical details are thin right now, but we know that developers will be able to write applications that add tabs to the pre-meeting experience, add buttons to the in-meeting experience, as well as add content to the post-meeting chat window (in the same way that Stream does with a recording).

Here’s an example of an application showing contextual information within the meeting experience:
