Congratulations 2016 Microsoft MVPs! I’m renewed MVP for Office Servers & Services
Firstly, Congratulations to all new and renewed 2016 MVPs who are receiving their notifications today. I’m one of them – and this year is a special one because for the first time I’m now a Office Servers & Services MVP.
Due to a change last October in the MVP program my previous title of Skype for Business MVP has been changed to Office Servers & Services MVP to better reflect the changing world of technology and the greater integration between different parts of the Microsoft offering, both on-premises and in the cloud. To be clear, my specialism is still Skype for Business development, but the official category on my MVP Profile Page has changed.
This marks my first anniversary of being an MVP. It’s been a fantastic first year – I’ve learnt so much from so many people and been a part of some really interesting conversations. At the same time I hope that I’ve managed to repay this with useful blog posts, code samples and programs to bring more awareness and understanding to the world of Skype for Business development.
I’m super excited about the next 12 months: the pace of change at the moment is relentless, with new SDKs popping up everywhere. I’m looking forward to the continued opportunity to offer walk-throughs, code samples and more free applications using these new tools.
Finally, I’m incredibly honoured to receive this renewal from Microsoft, and I’d like to thank the whole community for their support in reading these blog posts, sharing them on Twitter, downloading the applications, asking the questions etc. I wouldn’t have this award without you, so thanks 🙂
Congratulations! I just became a first time MVP myself in office servers and services (office 365) and I am pretty excited about it.
