Microsoft Acquires GitHub: 3 reasons this is a Good Thing for Developers

Microsoft announced today their plan to acquire GitHub for $7.5B. Lots of people have said lots of things about this, but here are my thoughts on why this is a Good Thing for GitHub, for Microsoft, and for developers everywhere.
