Microsoft Announces AI for Humanitarian Action program

Microsoft Announces AI for Humanitarian Action program

At Microsoft Ignite today, Microsoft announces a new AI program which it hopes will help change lives.

The program is launched in conjunction with the United Nations General Assembly meeting, and involves a $40 million,five-year investment. The initiative will harness the power of AI to focus on four priorities – helping the world recover from disasters, addressing the needs of children, protecting refugees and displaced people, and promoting respect for human rights.

Seeing Microsoft use their great power and technological strength for good is really nice, and hopefully this program will make a significantly positive difference to people that need it most.
